The National Student Leadership Conference is very excited to announce a brand-new 6-Day Advanced Leadership Program designed specifically for you! Advanced Leadership was developed by Robert Pruitt and our Leadership Development Team. The advanced-alumni design of our program is truly a roller-coaster ride—it will pick-up where your first NSLC experience left off and expand your leadership skills allowing you to more effectively manage goals, tasks, and groups at your school, college, or workplace.

At Advanced Leadership, you don’t just talk or read about leadership, you actually get in action and watch your leadership come to life! You and your TA Team will join our Leadership facilitator, Robert Pruitt, as he guides you through our uniquely designed alumni leadership experience. Our eye-opening leadership sessions will help you further develop your inner potential and enable you to harness your natural leadership abilities. You will leave the program ready to stand out as an effective leader in whatever you take on while preparing for and moving through college.

Robert Pruitt and our Advanced Leadership team advisors will help you develop a personal game plan that will help you target specific areas in your life where you want to achieve specific goals or bring about change. For example, you might want to revamp a student organization at your school or exude greater confidence and poise while managing groups of people!

Do you want to create a powerful personal statement that you can submit to a college or employer, or perhaps you seek to start a student-run company or community organization? Our staff will work with you to generate a specific game plan for achieving your goals and putting your advanced leadership abilities into action! By the end of your 6-Day experience, you will have the enthusiasm, determination, and confidence to stand out and create your future!

Each day of Advanced Leadership is designed to provide you with more opportunities to develop fun, meaningful, and long-lasting friendships. During most days leadership sessions and TA Group activities will be scheduled from 9am-5pm. From 5pm until room check, our schedule is filled with fun trips, socials, and free time as you and your friends experience all of the excitement the city of Washington, D.C. has to offer. There is no doubt—at the end of Advanced Leadership, you will walk away with friendships that will last a lifetime!

During the course of the program, students will participate in a variety of interactive workshops, led by nationally-renowned facilitator Robert L. Pruitt, II. These workshops will help students master the advanced leadership skills as they prepare to serve their communities and the world.

Master the dynamics of effective communication. Identify the everyday ordinary styles of communicating that hinder you from speaking and listening clearly and authentically. Develop the ability to listen and speak in a powerful way allowing you to communicate with confidence and ease no matter what the situation!

Experience the power of networking! Practice techniques that will have you develop yourself and others as potential networking contacts for life. Learn to share yourself and your experiences, skills, and talents in such a way where they will view you as a valuable resource!

Master your awareness of what holds you back in the school, workplace, and your everyday relationships! Develop strategies that will allow you to clearly share yourself, your skills, and your experiences with others and to make sure what you said was really heard! Experience the confidence of managing tasks, goals, and groups of people when you are able to really be CLEAR on what your vision really is!

Explore and learn the strategies of some of societies’ most inspirational members! Experience first-hand the determination and resourcefulness of ordinary people who have accomplished extraordinary feats! Develop your own strategies to bring your vision to life in the face any challenges you may face.

Examine where past experiences and relationships may be sabotaging your current or future experiences and relationships. Gain awareness of your habits that open up and shut down relationships and learn to leave those old habits in the past! Develop the ability to be the sole-author of your experiences and relationships freely, confidently, and authentically!
